| | | | |  The Official Starter for the 2012 Mad City 50K will be Maverick Darling. Maverick is a member of the reigning NCAA national champion University of Wisconsin Badgers cross country team. A junior at UW and a native of Ovid, Michigan, Maverick has earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in cross country all three years he has been a Badger.
