| | | | | The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) has awarded the 2010 Mad City 100K its Bronze Label. The IAU is the governing body for international competitions such as the annual 100-kilometer World Championship race in Gibraltar this fall.
The Bronze Label identifies the Mad City 100K as having met the standards set for a race of this stature. Bronze Label status assures eligibility for recognition of world records. It also places Mad City 100K finishers on the annual list of world-wide rankings. The Bronze Label has a special importance for elite runners, as it figures into the calculation of the travel grants for those invited to a major IAU competition such as the World Cup. | | | | |
